Gonzaga/Puertecitos - me too!

hey Ya'll

we're leaving tomorrow for some sea kayaking around Gonzaga and other places and am wondering:

1) is campo beluga a good place to camp and leave the vehicle for over night paddles away from camp?

2) are there other campos closer to Punta Final that are as good as campo beluga?

3) is the Pemex at Puertecitos operational and if so do they consistantly have fuel?

if not,

4) is fuel available in Gonzaga?

thanks!

i'll post some photos when we get back! :bounce::bounce::bounce:

Beluga is a formal campground and has a family living there next to the minimart, so my guess is that it would relatively safe to leave things there unattended overnight.

The only other campground in the area is Rancho Grande which is further away (north) from Punta Final.

The two times I have been there in the last year there was gas at the Pemex in Gonzaga. I have seen recent posts indicating the same. I have also heard from several sources that Rancho Grande minimart, on the main road also has fuel.

If you are coming from the north, there is plenty of fuel in San Felipe, so its availability in Puertecitos shouldn't be an issue.
