With over 400 racers, the Baja 250 is going strong... Many roll overs, crashes, breakdowns... so, it is no easy course.

I wonder how San Felipe is going to convince Sal Fish to bring the race back, provided the ejidos get satisfaction?

Sounds like Trophy Truck #19 is in the lead, and just passed Ck. point 4 (Race Mile 162)... 1:30pm

Results posted on the SCORE web site http://www.score-international.com

Something happened just yards from the finish line when Mark Post (Riviera Racing) was detained by the federales who claimed he was speeding on one of the earlier highway sections. They detained Post long enough to put him back to 6th place... from 1st place!

When SCORE checked his GPS device, they gave him the overall first place win, as he never exceeded the 60 mph rule on the highway sections.

One report said Post was taken to a San Quintin jail, then later released ... for refusing to stop for the Mexican Federal Highway Police!

Thanks to Mike Supino for posting a link to the video of Mexico's finest stopping the lead Trophy Truck with machine guns, just yards before the finish line!
