Cingular

We take our normal Cingular Razor to Mexico, then went to Telcel and had them insert a Telcel memory card, cost 30 dollars, now we just buy the scratch off pay as you go phone cards, and for 10 dollars every two months, we have a local cell phone with plenty of minutes to use when shopping, going to the air port etc, now, when we go back into the USA, we just remove the Telcel card and reinsert the Cingular card and vola, we are back on Cingular service. Works good for us, we don't call the USA on the cell phone, use the Vonage for that, have the security of a local cell when traveling around. We keep an unused scratch off card in the car so if for some reason the time runs out when in mexico, we can add time to the phone, oh, be sure to tell the agent at Telcel to set your phone in English! That way when you are checking your minutes etc the messages are all in English...
