I will throw in a comment and question here also....the "dips" in the new road are quite severe.....and someone has added some "comments" painted on
the road to warn others.....like "OUCH"....."DIP"...."OH SHI*".....
Wondering if motorhomes and trailers will be having trouble crossing them....and why didn't they put in pipes UNDER the road to permit water flow
.....

Those dips are called "Texas Crossings", and they are ever so much cheaper to put in, and maintain, than culverts. They work really well in desert
country that is subject to flash floods. One just has to be careful as these "Texas Crossings" are much more abrupt than in the USA.

Can someone tell me where the "new" road is?

Corky means 'paved', as it is 'new' pavement into Puertecitos, past Cow Patty's...
Corky, these photos look like what youe sent me... I guess you figured out how to resize them okay... Great!
New Road and Good

The "new road" ends about at Cow Patties. The paving north of there is pretty good. South of there it's the same ole road.
The reason Cow Patties is closed is some dirty, rotten, rat faced jerk wouldn't sell them Pacifico anymore....must be some kinda Mexican graft in
there somewhere. Besides it was part owned by a Gingo. The other owners were Mexican busniessmen who are nice guys...another reason to close it up.
It will be missed.

Rumor has it they're opening up a joint farther to the south.

Went down there today and this is what I learned.
Cow Patty's open selling hot dogs only. He said he was just turned down again for beer license.
Crews hard at work on the short section that hadn't been paved. Ready mix trucks pouring for culverts they are building and many trucks hauling dirt
and gravel building a roadbed.

Don't think it will be long now ---
