Thanks bajabound. Just a bunch of lame things, I'll be down in a few months if not sooner. ++Ken++

So, do you do any snorkeling or are you seriously into diving? Bajamigo thinks you have the most amazing underwater photos!

Edited for puncuation!

Appreciate that bajabound. I do a lot of snorkeling. The manatee thread I just posted in the Baja Gallery was on snorkel. ++Ken++

So when you get here, you'll take us out on a great snorkeling trip? We have our own gear!

Looking forward to it, although there's some nice diving in your area (assume you are in Punta Banda south of Ensenada), beautiful thick kelp forests. Also a good dive shop there out at Bufadora. If you get certified I'll give you an underwater tour in the kelp :). Or not, it's pretty on snorkel too!!

Packoderm - 3-14-2007 at 07:28 PM

I've snorkeled at La Bufadora, and it is cold, cold, cold. The cold was biting between my hood and mask. There are a whole lot of purple urchins there, and I saw one big, orange fish. The kelp was nice.

You guys NEED to get the heck outa there and get to Baja asap !!!

Ken Bondy - 3-15-2007 at 08:02 AM

OK you guys seem to need the trip more than I do. I'm only about 200 miles north of the border right now, 75F outside headed for 90F, clear sunny sky.

Bajagypsy - 3-15-2007 at 08:09 AM

Thank you for the wonderful pictures you keep posting, it helps!!

Skipjack Joe - 3-15-2007 at 01:09 PM

Love those cliffs above that beach, Ken. Looks very photogenic. I think DavidK also posted one from that area a while back that got my attention. I'll have to check it out. Should be easy to get to.

Ken Bondy - 3-15-2007 at 01:44 PM

It is easy to get to Joe. K45 is the turnoff as I recall. Right, David has posted photos from that area also, it is close to that big hole (cavern) in the rocks with the sea lions.

Between Km. 47 and 48, on a curve, follow new power line, that goes over Mex. 1 at the road. If going to La Lobera, a left turn is made 1/2 mile in, again follow the power line... Ignore Spanish keep out sign, honestly it is meant for riff raff. 20 pesos collected to park for any daytime visit, more for overnight camping.

Ken Bondy, Your pics are super, beneath the waves or on high ground. :D Thanks.

DianaT - 3-15-2007 at 04:12 PM

Your pictures are always a pleasure to see--thanks.

And, even though we have sunny 70s here in Imperial Beach, we still need to get back to Baja---SOON

We were hoping this month, again, but looks like the first part of April----Hope you make it down soon.
