Is it safe to assume, under optimal conditions, 5x rated output per day?
Trying to determine needs for a marine application.

If you mean five hours of rated output per day for a non tracking panel, that is about right assuming you do not have it on a sailboat and point it in
the wrong direction. 
edit: Don't forget, mast/superstructure shadows can kill you in a marine application.
