In honor of my hard workin' hard drinkin' grandpa, John Rufus Marney (rip) ~ and his Irish splash in the family gene pool:
Happy St. Patrick's Day to my fellow Nomad Amigos!
One of St. Patrick's less known influences in Ireland, was to teach the poor & pesants to read.... a good call for sure.

I've got a patch of four-leaf clover in my side yard. You're welcome to one anytime you need it.

The Wearing of the Green (or Orange)
MrBillM - 3-17-2007 at 06:01 PM
I woke up this a.m. and pulled on the first T-Shirt out of the Drawer. It was Orange. My wife asked if I was trying to make a statement. It took a
moment to figure out what she was talking about.
I'm out of it before that First cup of Coffee in the Morning.
That's OK. Geraldo Rivera just signed off by wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving before correcting himself.4baja - 3-17-2007 at 07:01 PM

OK, you're scaring me - MOURNING? I hope you were wearing black while you had your Guiness in mourning.
We skipped all the high sodium corned beef & cabbage offered in every food venue between here and Ensenada in favor of our own crazy concoction
--- we went for Louisiana Red Hots (darn high in sodium all on their own), some nice kraut rinsed off to dilute the sodium, some fresh boiled taters
-- topped with some classic yellow mustard; accompanied by a fine wine from Baja's Chateau Camou. Erin go braugh!Paulina - 3-18-2007 at 10:02 AM
Bajabound,
There was no mourning going on at our house either! Starting Friday night the boys from Morro Bay Tire called out the local
leprechaun troops to our stateside casa for an evening of pre-St. Patty's day celebration that included Jameson's, Black and Tans, Guiness, Harp, Bass
and of course Tecate and Corona.
I guess I do have to admit that Saturday morning was a day of mourning, due to the day after syndrome. Those naughty leprechauns must have spiked our
sodas!
Hope everyone had a good day!

It's really a special day as I am part Irish and my Son was born on the 17th!
(May a good swift kick in the old pants send you to wear you need to be. Be it far in the desert or down on your knees. Is that Irish? OK, I admit, It just came to me.
