Our Swedish visitors reported the dirt road had been graded nicely a couple days ago and the black top laid on the first few miles as well. We did
have a medium quake yesterday and this morning at 7:00 am just to keep us alert! I hear there were some a few days ago further south in Comondu as
well. LOvely weather this week...and today we celebrate the equinox...the kids got a long weekend to celebrate the coming of spring...decent!

It's a holiday in Mexico today but not to celebrate spring its because of the birth of Benito Juarez and theire schools should have told them that. It
has always been on March 21st but with recent reforms, it starts this year beeing conmemorated the 3rd monday of March and also coincides with 18
March, another conmemorated day "Dia de la expropiacion petrolera".
The spring celebration starts in April.

Wow, how strange they didn't know that. We had a gathering yesterday of kids and their families and when asked what the long weekend was for...most
didn't have a clue...and only one father said that instead of giving the kids the day off on the 21st which usually happens here as they have a parade
and parties etc to celebrate spring...because that fell on a Wednesday...they chose to take a puente instead (long weekend). I'm surprised that Benito
Juarez Day has been somewhat forgotten and celebrating the first day of spring has become the focus...kinda like Chrismas huh! thanks for setting us
straight Fernando.
