No, just a regular FM3. It's passive income so all you need to do is register. Talk to an accountant.

I did! And they have been trying to get me an FM-3 Lucrativa for like 5 months!! She told me today she would now work on getting a regular FM-3 and later change it to an FM-3 Lucrativa. I was just concerned this was circumventing the process and might come back to bite me later.

Are there different FM-3's for under and over 50?

Are you talking about occasionally renting your home or it becoming a business? Makes a difference on how you approach it.

(And you should already have an FM3, right?) ;D

there are several catagories of FM3...I keep hearing about new ones...I have a rentista one meaning I live here but don't work...there are some for pensioners too.

Anyone care to list them w/a brief explaination? Or is there a leading web site with this info?

Seems like the various FM3 requirements are constantly changing, with a core of basic requirements staying about the same.:?: Factor in the attitudes, requests etc. at different locations and you've got the recipe for confusion.:D:D Be prepared to meet the most rigid guidelines and have a smile.

There is one boilerplate FM3 with addendums.

Pensioner
Working
Artist
Student
Teacher
Specialized skills
Medical
Clergy
Press

Maybe more but I'm familiar with these.

Think of an FM3 as an extended tourist visa connected to a specific place or occupation. An FM2 is for those who intend to immigrate.

I have an FM3 with an "Administrador Unico" endorsement.

It allows me to run my corporation and even get paid by it.

An FM-3 that would allow someone to live part time (or full time) in Baja and work in "Specialized skills" would probably be what I would seek...?
