Ok what winery out of all of them on the back road of Tecate to Ensenada is the best and what wine label is the best to drink? I have tried a few but
looking for some recommendations?

Monte Xanic would be a close second interms of quality, but more interesting to tour. LA Cetto is a great place to catch the parade of tour buses.

Wonderfully, there are now many to choose from. Unfortunately, many require advance reservations before you visit. L.A. Cetto has an excellent
Nebbiolo and Cabernet Sauvignon, and the tastings are free (except for their premium wines). Keep driving along the dirt road past Cetto and you'll
find Dona Lupe's. Worth a stop for their preserves, herbs, and oils.
Adobe Guadalupe has excellent wines. Bibayoff has an interesting museum of Russian settlement. Los Naranjos restaurant is a great lunch stop.

Look for the very good olive oil at LA Cetto. Very inexpensive. Nice gifts. Makes for nice infused olive oils; we love infusing with orange and
pouring over goat cheese.
I havent been back in a few years now; cant speak to the wines.

would be my choices. both require reservations. both well worth it. pijoan has three or four lovely crafted wines. vinisterra's macouzet
tempranillo is excellent, imho.

Would it be possible to grow wine grapes in Bahia de Los Angeles? What variety could handle the heat and make a nice red vino?

I did a Guadalupe Valley wine tour over the weekend and tasted some excellent wines, especially at Barõn Balch'é and Vinisterra. All their offerings
were first rate but I'm sorry, I bought the last bottle of Vinisterra's "Vinisterra". Monte Xanic's Malbec was very fine.
Also toured La Villa del Valle (formerly "Las Brisas del Valle"). What a spot to celebrate a special occasion.
Doña Lupe's Muy Picante hot sauce is one of the hottest I've tasted.
It is very unfortunate that you now can only bring 1 liter of wine back in to the States every 30 days. I was over the limit Friday when I crossed at
Tecate and when I crossed again Sunday night, wouldn't you know I'd get the same officer from Friday night? Got my second warning and sent to
secondary, but still left with the wine.

itinerary w/ lodging.
not too familiar with the middle of baja, we tend to stick to the pacific.....

wines in Baja are hit and miss, at best,
but on occasion a good one really hits the mark,

Last time I stopped they had the map/brochure for the rutavina at the first toll booth, actually the little office near the banos.
Also, they give them away at the border insurance places, and in most hotels in Ensenada. And in most restaurants in the Guadalupe Valley.

The Guadalupe Valley is fantastic. Be aware - or beware -- it gets HOT. Not but a few miles out of Ensenada where it might be running 65 degrees -in
the Valle it might 95 or more. We don't take our dogs with us anymore! In fact, in might be 50 in the Ensenada area and you head up the Ruta de Vino
and in 10 minutes you have the a/c on in the car. Figure that one out!
