Puertecitos to Gonzaga is not paved, and I hope it stays that way. Road is paved from San Felipe to Puertecitos.Gary - 4-1-2007 at 07:07 AM
Thanks!! We are heading down april 17. Do you know if the Pemex is open in either town?bajalou - 4-1-2007 at 08:29 AM
No Pemex open in Puertecitosgringorio - 4-1-2007 at 08:46 AM
We were there recently and the Pemex in Puertecitos was still closed, but the one in Gonzaga had fuel.
A couple we met who were headed to Gonzaga said the dirt road was the worst they had seen it in 10 years and they had been driving it every year over
those 10 years.
The work on paving continues, but like Pappy Jon says, I hope they never finish it.
Also, even though the pavement looks good watch out for those "oh! Dip - sh*t" vados! If you try going 60 you'll take out your oil pan...

hey Gary,
we saw lots of dirt bikes on the road - they seemed to be having fun - more fun than whoever had this blowout!
