It is strange how things can change!
I ate and stayed at Ricardo's Rice & Beans in 2001 and found it to be a great place for good food, drinks, and comfy room... all fair priced and
all run by Ricardo. I mean he seemed to do everything (cook, bar tend, host,...).
Only one price on the menu back then...
Maybe Ricardo needed a break and finally dlegated some jobs to others?

I prefer to take ricardo at his word. I found him to be a very savy business man, whose business has been built on score racers to a large degree.
capt. it could have truly been a mistake. hate to throw him under the bus on this.
that menu didn't exist when I was there last.

We have stayed there several times and never experienced anything like that George. He even let Mike Humfreville leave his engine blown Trooper for 2
years "no problemo"

it was back in 2002 and the menu was in english on one side and spanish on the other...there was about a 15% difference..
I would have no problem with him offering a lesser price to his regular Mexicano patrons, and told him so. Just try to use a little more discression.
Very nice man, I like him, but so what? I ran a bakery/cafe for five years, same price for all comers.
I'm glad he fixed the problem.
Ignacio Springs? Incredible couple, Gary & Terry, great, comfortable and warm lodging (Yurts)...food to die for, Terry, truly a great chef. Treat
yourself when in San Ignacio and stay there!
We stayed there, Gary gave me a small spinning rod, baited it with a "date" and I caught a 20 lb carp, too much, a date? Also set us up with the best
whale watch imaginable.

It would be ill logical to post the prices in gringo greens if the exchange rate can change from (9 to 1) to (11.5 to 1) in a short time. (yes I've
seen the other side of the menus with the "gringo" price but use this as a reference to know what it is I'm getting---when I pay in
peso it figures out right.)

actually I'm just an old dog kicker from way back.
if I were disatisfied, something was amiss, it was a long time ago....I know/knew all about dolares y pesos.....
And yes, I found Ricardo to be a nice man. I wish him well.
