Would Puerto Escondido still be a viable launch site for a sea kayak group heading out to the islands or farther south? I know they are charging high
fees for motorized launches. Do they still have car storage, and does anybody know what they are charging? Perhaps the new Tripui offers car storage,
but I'm not sure. I couldn't get their contact address off their web site.

For good information, contact a good amigo of ours in Loreto who is a kayak guide and speaks english and is a real nice guy...Alejandro owns Eco Union

Which "islands" are you talking about? There is an RV place in Loreto where you can launch off their beach, park your car, etc. Isla Del Carmen is
directly across as you can see. You paddle south until you're close to the southern (closer) end. Going to Isla Danzante first is a good move, then
to the Punto Bajo end of Isla Del Carmen. You can do that in a day from Loreto. Circumnavigate Isla Del Carmen for a couple days, or head to Isla
Monserrate at first light if the weather and current is right. etc.

Singlar is charging roughly 14 US per 'event' for their launch ramp. which means about 28 bucks per kayak in and out. they do have parking, which
runs about 60 pesos a day for a dirt lot which sometimes has a guard in the day time.
there have got to be more reasonable prices and places in town, but I am unaware of them, living in El Juncalito, just north of Escondido. others
will probably help with info here.
one idea, you might try Bill and Denise at Ensenada Blanca, El Santuario eco resort...maybe spend a night or two or ? there and launch from/leave
vechicle there. groups frequently stay and leave/return there. find them at website elsantuario.com (I believe that is correct, Google it if it
doesn't work or u2u me and I will send you their email address.

I would use an RV park in Loreto for parking vehicles while on a long-range, multi-day kayak trip. Forget Puerto Escondido as they are priced for use
exclusively by Space Aliens and Beautiful People From Cabo.
From Loreto, you can probably arrange to have your 'yaks and gear transported to Ensenada Blanca, and paddle south from there. There are dozens of
people in the tourist transport biz who would do that, the RV parks can probably hook you up. Or take your stuff there, and drive your rigs back to
Loreto and then shuttle back to Ensenada Blanca.
You may or may not be allowed to camp at EB to ensure an early departure; it's been allowed and has been done by kayakers but rules may be changing.
