New truck came with these on them:
Bridgestone Dueler A/T P265/65R18 and some kind of longer travel shocks- anyone have any thoughts on these? I'm inclined to get a set of Bilstens
right away but I know nothing about the Bridgestones. I do typical Baja roads and trails but no rock crawling.

I've had Bridestone in the past, they served me well...both on and off road.
now Michelin for the road P265/75R16 long, long wear!
Goodrich All-Terrain for the beach and off road...33/16.5
these on an F-350 Diesel 4 X 4

At least give them both a try on one trip. The tires sound good, but check the sidewall plys to see if they rate with your preferred tire brand.
Shocks too, don't replace what's not broken, yet anyways....

The tires are passenger car treads. You can run em till they wear out. 18 inch is not my type of tire, hard to get in Baja. I'd opt for a set of 16
inch rims if they fit the hub OK and LT285/75R16 BFG TA KO tires at replacement time. My 04 GMC Z71 has been thru 3 sets of front shocks in 45,000
miles (all from the Gonzaga road) but the stock rears have held up good so far.

I haven't looked at the new Z71 but on my 04 I screwed the air filter case to the fender for a tight fit. Also I tie wrapped the battery until I can
put a top clamp on it and siliconed the headlight holding clamps, but that may be different on the new Z71s. I also had to silicone the tail lights as
one was loose. They offer a tool box for under the rear seat on the extended cab models that's really good to store things.
