7.3 diesel sensor repair

Corky1 - 4-8-2007 at 09:13 AM

I tried search for this item . no luck.
A while back there was a posting about a sensor unit going bad on 7.3 diesels.
Any one remember anything about the posting and where I might find it??
thanks, Corky:?:

Standing in front of your engine with the hood open, look down into the gap between the water pump pulley and the A/C compressor pulley. It actually sits mounted to the block just above and slightly to the left of the crankshaft pulley as you look down. Part of it's mount actually extends over the turning crankshaft pulley. The CPS will have a shielded wire running to it.

Take a look at the Diesel Stop under forums 7.3. One of the best Ford diesel spots ! It has saved me $$ a few times !
I carry a CPS in glove box with 10mm socket for just that case.
