Tin Can. Are you the "Tin can" who used to camp at Rattlesnake Beach behind Tripui Resort at Puerto Escondido years ago? 33' Airstream with aluminum boat named "tin can". This would be truly a small world if you respond "yes"!!!!

Answer to your question. AS of yesturday when I drove down to inspect a new home in construction of a friend of mine from Eugene Oregon. Juncalito Beach was about 3 tents & cars deep. From the lighthouse to the southerly point on the beach.
Far as I know, it is still a 'free beach' as of this writing.

Still open, it was closed briefly a couple of years ago but people tore down the shabby fence (twice).

WE started camping there 16 years ago off & on. On was usually when we got "run off" of Rattlesnake for a few days. We'd pack up and run over to Juncalito. Got tired of that about 8 years ago, and sold the travel trailer and bought our home in Nopolo. OUr travel trailer is sitting on the beach in the "for rent" lots of the Ejdo, just past the lighthouse, where there is a waterless arroyo. White wooden structure (sun deck) over our Alfa Gold.
Met a fellow in an old old school bus (converted) from Canada. Drank too much I noticed. Nice wife. Rode a small motorbike around the beach & over to Willies market. What ever happened to him. He was a mechanic I believe in his working days.
