As mentioned, there's the "Browse..." button to find a file to upload here (under 50kb). Or, there's the insert image icon to use to hotlink an image
from elsewhere online. This is the icon to use for that:

Maybe you are posting by using the Quick Reply that you see when you scroll down. You have to hit the small, gray, rectangular Post Reply button as
seen on the top and bottom of the page. Then a separate posting page opens.
