My post didn't do justice and maybe more detail is needed.
Raul is muy sympatico! There is internet access in the office (on a office computer) and I got wireless outside though the signal faded just
outside my room -- which was the farthest from the office. (There is a great seafood place a block from the motel -- ask at the desk. Had a
ceveche-type dish that had octopus in it. Interesting and chewy and good.)
A ''No Pets" sign is posted on the front door of the office and hard to miss but I gave it a shot and Raul said OK -- Room 19 has no carpet, so no
problems with accidents that eventually start to smell. I always bring a dogbed for my Lab and recommend that other pet owners do the same. Dog
hair on sheets and all that.
What I told Raul about my Lab: she's clean, no fleas/ticks, sleeps in her own bed on the floor, and is never on the bed. I also offered a cleaning
fee refundable upon inspection when I check out. He trusted me, I think, and Room 19 worked fine.

I'm glad to hear some Nomads are staying at Los Caracoles. It's an awesome place and better than Malarrimo as it's qieter and not all that RV hussel
and bussel....glad to hear Sirena is doing her homework...she'd better keep up that 100% average OR ELSE!!! It would be really great if you could let
the owners know how valuable Sirena is there...sometimes they don't realize how great it is to have someone knowledgeable and speaks english and is
super friendly and cute to boot! OK OK, enough yadda yadda about my wonderful girl. Don't forget, Raul or Sirena can arrange a free tour of the salt
mine which is very interesting and something new to do...and she can direct you to the dunes or El Faro and great restaurants and a cool club with

right on bro....the road is in excellent shape, Sirena just arrived in her little low toyota and says it's smooooooth. Yep, turn off that nasty pot
holed paved road onto the dirt road....check out the 2nd layer of pavement up top and dream of driving on it, have a tecate then continue on following
the power poles till you get to the main road, turn left and keep going till ya hit the open ocean beach and turn left and wind around till ya find

It is approximately 45 miles from Viscaino on a often potholed asphalt road to the left turn-off towards Asuncion. At the turn, you will take a side
road along the left side of the main road for a few miles until you can get on the main road past the construction. Continue on and make sure that you
bear left to follow the power lines when you get to the last 1/3 or so. The dirt section is about 24 miles. You will come to a T intersection and you
will go right for about 3 miles into town. Follow the paved road to its end and beyond to the water then go left again and this will take you towards
the lighthouse-looking building which is just past Shari's. Her place is to the water/punta side of the big white co-op building.

Shari and Juan recommended Laz Cazuelas in Guerro Negro to us and we celebrated Shari's birthday there.
I mean to tell you we had the best seafood we have ever had and that is saying a lot from a very snobby fisherman who catches his own salmon,
stealhead, bass, dungeness crab etc.
We had a regional dish, I believe only available in the area. It is called Lion Paw Scallops. Laz Cazuelas does them with a garlic sauce that is to
die for. I have never tasted a sea food dish so good. It is somewhere in the taste pallet of Scallops/Abalone/Crab and incredibly good.
They also do a chocolate clam in a lime cilantro sauce that will have you licking the plate.
