This is a volunteer plant in my garden, does anyone know what it is.
Hi comitan....I have the same ones every year.

I call them......weeds.
(I couldn't resist this! I just got done pulling up a few dozen around the yard.)
p.s. I will ask Carmen, she is an expert on all things plantwise.

Hi Comitan!
A weed is a plant growing where we do not want it to grow.
That is a pretty flower.
I hope all is well with you.

Looks like a Nightshade...Solanum sp. of some kind...they usually have light blue or yellow flowers before the fruit. The fruit of many of those are
toxic--full of alkaloids.

comitan....you might get an answer from this blog...seems to be quite an expert on a vast variety of Baja plants. From what I have seen I agree with
Mexitron..it seems to resemble some kind of nightshade..touchy stuff not too kind to the digestion. There seems to be color variations of the
flowers....if this is indeed nightshade.
