there is a guy in florida that makes NEW plates and repairs old ones to look BRAND NEW...
my old roadsters always got a refurbuished plate
and...if you bought that one do you get the right to use it legally in california???
if you did you could order it and get a new one from the state
people will buy anything on ebay...
i have some rusty old used nails i want to sell....
edit: i always wonder where he learned this "trade"

My wife and I collect license plates. We have over 200 of them now, many of them hanging from the rafters in our garage. We have plates (and some
road signs) from every state and many from several other countries, including Baja Norte and Sur. Some of the stories of how we obtained these plates
are very interesting.

Bob, I would be interested in this Florida guy. We have an old 1969 Mustang fastback with the original old BLACK California plates, and they need
sprucing up a bit. Can you U-2 me the contact info?
