ok, so mine workede great ABOUT 3 nites, then nite before last at 10:30 pm it just went out while i was watching a station it got, and it just says
"serching for satellite etc."
so - the receiver and card i brought from home to leave here, it had been activated and used daily in my BR
so what's the deal here? i need to get pulpo back or ask Pete for help?
does Directv know i moved my rec??
so, if it aint gonna work at all i have a nice 1 meter dish and lnb plus 200 ft of coax for sale cheap!!

Better get pulpo back and align again and make sure it won't move in the wind.

Yeah Mike,
Comitan is right. If your subscription went down you would get the " see provider " message on your screen. "Searching for signal " means the dish
moved and lost it. Retry and retry and retry, how well I know. Spend many hours in summer heat on the roof trying to get the so and so lined back up.
Many times so frustrated that, had I had a shotgun, would have peppered it like a California roadsign

I drilled extra holes in the base of the stand for the dish to "spread out" the 1/4" lags I wanted to use. The older dish I have only had a few holes
and only up the middle and it looked and felt a little wobbly after installation.
The dish has now been in the same spot for 12 years, lots of windy days, and no interuption of service.
I know what you mean Vandenburg, it can get a little frustrating!
