has anyone used or heard of flights to these places?I am trying to get to Bahia Asuncion more regularly without the 24 hour drive from Norcal.

ok, you can connect in C421s and C208s with Aero Servicios de Guerrero Negro (sorry, i never can spell that correctly)
they run from Ensendada daily and TJ on demand with services as a whistle stop to a bunch of small places. Based in GN.
they'll drop into a bunch of dirt too.
you can go to Palo Verde to get to Mulege or Santa Rosalia, They were in at Serenidad several times while i was there the last 1/2 of April.
they have a web site - google it and all the info is there.
get a ride with Capt. Chavez, he's cool and a good buddy of mine, was one of the 1st guys Munoz hired for Baja Airlines.

Here in our village, the comandante is a good pal as are all the officers...no one is gonna bother captain mike for driving our old Trooper
around...its' a small village and everyone knows it's ours and he would be our guest...we loan our car to cruisers alot to get supplies and the flying
medicos etc....rules are not so tough here and as my husband is mexican, obviously we live that style of culture...lending things without worrying
about insurance...(nobody has it here) not thinking of getting sued...I guess lots of things COULD happen but well....we'll just cross that bridge
when we get to it...also Mike would be using it at his own risk I guess...and well, here when sh*t happens....we just deal with it the best we can
instead of worrying about it beforehand or not helping someone because of what might happen. I checked with my insurance company and foreigners CAN
drive a mexican vehicle as long as they have a drivers license and if Mike is really worried he can borrow the suburban which does have insurance.
Also, you would have to do something pretty nasty to end up in our jail...bail is cheap....and if he did, I'd bring him a nice mattress and blanket,
coffee and abalone tamales! Thank you for your concerns but "careful" is not usually something we think about when helping out our guests...I've been
known to pick up plane pilots and passengers with a cold 6 pack of Tecate waiting for them in the Suburban...also illegal...yep, I'm a baaaaaad girl

Anything for you Diver...do you have insurance? The strip here is one of the best in remote strips in Baja, so I've been told by pilots...it is about
3,000' and in very good shape, graded regularly and a five minute drive from town.David K - 5-2-2007 at 08:02 AM
In Galen Hanselman's excellent 'AIR BAJA!' c1998 he measured it at 4,796 feet long.
