Sorry you see my reply as a smart-a crack because it wasn't meant to be. I didn't have his answer and his question sat there for a while and he is new to the site so, I thought he could benefit from the search.
For sure, I'll try to be more sensitive in the future. Not so much to others but, to you. If I had known how cranky you would get over nothing, I would have stayed out of it. Probably what you should have done as well.

Thanks for the help. The pass only took us a couple of weeks to get. We applied online on GOES and within a week set up a appointment and got the pass, can't wait to use it. We have had a house at K-55 for 25 years and the only thing keeping us from going down more often was the wait at the border, always 1 - 3 hours. My wife and I both got the pass as everyone in your cars needs one.

Here a the two routes that I would use to get to the sentri lanes. The first route is the quickest but sometimes it's not passable when there is a lot of traffic going back to the US. Both of the U-Turns in this route are allowed.

The first part of the second route uses the via rapida which is like an expressway. The route goes under the bridge and one street past it in order to avoid going around the glorieta. IMO it's better to avoid glorietas as they can be major backup points The same can be said for routes through centro.
