Looks like we visited a lot of the same places as the group the weekend before did.
Our trip was awesome, but wayyyy too short. This should have been a 4-5 day trek, but we still had a blast and saw TONS of cool stuff!

-Continue South To Gonzaga Bay Enjoying Amazing Views!
-Arrive at Campo Beluga 4pm +/-
Day 2
-Early AM 4x4 Exploration of Punta Bufeo, and Surrounding Areas
-Snorkel near Alphonsinas
-Swim @ Campo Beluga
-Fish @ Campo Beluga
-Catch 2 Large "Trigger Fish" @ Campo Beluga
-Make awesome fish tacos with said fish
Day 3
-Early AM Swim
-Continue South to CocO Corner
-Enjoy the awesome views to Catavina
-Fuel in El Rosario
-Awesome Food in San Quintin
-Scary Ride Through San Vincente Onward in Pitch Black
-Arrive at Border at 11pm
-Cross by 11:30pm, Most Cool!
Total Miles = 825
This should have been spread out over 4-5 days and we knew that starting off, but we were pressed for time and made the best out of it. Everyone had
an awesome time, and the couple first timers that came with us are itching to go back! What a gorgeous place!

Great report and photos. We have not been back in that area for about 5 years now. I think we might go again this October, coming down from
Mexicali, via San Felipe, Gonzaga, Coco's, back to MX-1 and end up in Mulege for a few days. We've got about two weeks to take it all in again.
Can't wait after seeing your photos.
What did you use for bait to catch your tacos? How did you rig your line? Love shore fishing, I'm just not very good at it. Would like to catch
something worthwhile some day.

Great report and pictures. I see that there are two car top tents in the convoy. If you are the owner of one of them,could you please give us some

Ha! It was my buddys gear, i dont know a damn thing about fishing, i took his gear out while he was napping and caught about 7 fish in 2 hours. All
from waist deep water. Should seen the look on his face!
As for "rigging the line" i dont know. It had what he called a lead head on it with a hook and we put the hook right through the fake crab, that is
about the limit of my knowledge!
Caught: Halibat, Calico, Some Weird Looking Thing, and (3) Triggerfish. Only 2 of the 7 were big enough to keep.
No BS, we tried some other stuff and caught nothing.
We tried these and each time the line went in, it came out with something on the end of it! Keep in mind, this was my first time fishing in like 15
years!

Yes, my truck and tent is this one:
The tent is the Eezi-Awn 1800 model.
The other tent on the Dodge Diesal is a Mombasa which is no longer made or available. (however, he is selling that exact one in the pic)
I have owned both and both have their pros and cons.
The Eezi-Awn is FAR superior but costs 3x as much. However, with any rain or wind the Mombasa quickly becomes a mess.
The Eezi-Awn is the Top of the Line roof tent and as you see in my pic, that is the "Sunny" setup with the awning up and the windows open and such.
The "Storm" setup is very nice and everything securely folds in and buckles down for any rain or wind you might face. The material is a very heavy
duty canvas and the dark green cover is thick rubber!
Setup and fold down is super easy and each takes less then 5 minutes!
I am in San Diego right off of the 52 and your welcome to come check it out in person if you'd like.
Oh, and did i mention i am a dealer for them too?
Many other companies make these: Hannibal, Techintop, Autohome, etc....
Eezi-Awn is from South Africa and is standard equiptment on almost every rig involved in African Safaris!

TJ to Gonzaga is 8 hours (7 am to 3 pm), using Hwy. 1...
If via Hwy. 5/ San Felipe and 50 rocky miles I would be more comfortable if you allowed 10 hours.... (7 am to 5 pm) or (6 am to 4 pm)... In a good
