Book Signing #5 was the best, yet!!! Photos (Part 3 of 3)

David K - 5-7-2007 at 08:50 PM

These photos continued from Part 2 at: http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=24392&pag...

Antonio, Lorenia, Little Lorenia, Elizabeth and I hopped into the Tacoma (4 doors are great) and went to get BajaRob and Connie who were staying in a condo that they won at last year's book signing!

Rob and Connie invited us to have a look inside!

Then, we all went to the Half Way House for dinner, perpared by Chef Johnny!

The Pyramid Pot Luck was probably great, but we opted for a quiet dinner hour with friends before returning for the Tequila Tasting!

Hi Hose A,

That's neat technology! Yes, clockwise starting at 9am we have Baja Angel, BajaRob, Connie, Little Lorenia, BajaCactus, & Lorenia.

By the way, we had a power outage from 9-10:30pm and that's why I dropped offline without finishing!

Yup, it turned out to be a great weekend!

Good job Keri and Bernie... I (and many other Baja Nomads and amigos) will be looking forward to #6!

We headed home... in no hurry. Had a great breakfast in Puerto Nuevo. Did a little 'window shopping' along the highway at an arts and crafts place and used the Blvd. 2000 for a quick trip to the Otay Border... See the Road Conditions Forum here on Nomad for the details and photos of this new shortcut... The border wait was over 2 hours long, however... starting at 12:20pm... Oh well, the good weekend was worth it!

That's super Jose... Now we all need a new camping fiesta in a remote Baja site! How about a BBBB or Viva Baja at MISION SANTA MARIA??? Of course only Toyotas and Jeep Rubicons may be able to get there... unless that Dodge shows up... it can make it too!

capt. mike - 5-8-2007 at 08:36 PM

ok, i have looked several times at all the pix of the tequila tasting party....and one thing seems to come thru consistently.....with a couple of exceptions, no one is laughing or smiling much??!!

i mean really, check them all out closely.....what a dour bunch. Does anyone else see this?
are you all stoned on the juice? looks like a bunch of zombies to me.:lol:

maybe it is due to too much partying all day at the signing, excessive sun or...??

i just noticed it and had to comment. you'd think there'd be lots of constant smiles and laughter about but i sure don't see it in the pix.

David K - 5-8-2007 at 08:40 PM

Look again... I counter four with laughing or real smiles... This was work, like a jury... we were trying to be really serious because we knew 4,000 Nomads were counting on us to provide some tequila insight! Check Doug's pictures too... I was a taster, Doug wasn't...
