"Bruce-- I was down to Mulege in May of '06 and met you and your wife. You both helped me on a couple of things and I am still thankful. I plan on coming down in November for 2 to 3 months and was wondering about the possibilty of renting a small house (is $200 to $300 per. mo. possible?).Would appreciate your ideas on the subject..."

these days in mulege 2-3 hundred a month only gets you a trailer space.
renting a house in that range......hahahahahah

Thanks David I will get in contact with him. there are quiet a few places for under 300 if you book early.

Pompano, you are right on here! The happiest time of a clam's day is almost certainly high tide, when his sandy abode is safely hidden from the eyes of the dreaded clam-diggers who prowl the beaches at low tide. So "happy as a clam" actually does make sense if we use it in its original, complete form, which is "happy as a clam at high tide," a catchphrase which apparently dates back to New England in the early 18th century.
