Hi Nomads, I'm flying down to Los Barriles for my neighbour's 50th Wedding Aniversity & would like to take some King Crab. Do I put it in bottom
of cooler & take a chance on Red/Green light or Air Freight/Gold Streak on the same flight. What do you think is the best way to not get it taken
away ?

I have brought, by commercial plane, venison, and other assorted meat several times in the past. I always clained it at the "lights". Everytime the
agent asked to look at it. All the agent did was look at the frozen package and let me proceed. Really easy process.

I've never had a problem either, what I did was freeze it the night before, then put it in a cooler and duct tape the cooler, they will ask you what
it is, just tell them, but remember, no dry ice on the plane. Good luck and enjoy your crab, it's been years (33, since I lived in Sand Point Ak.
since I've had King Crab)........I have to say, I prefer Tanner

King crab sure is a poor tasting crab. Just about every other crab species out there tastes better than King. Taking frozen King Crud seems like a
wasted effort. You can get much better crab and lobster in Baja, and it will be never frozen and much fresher to boot.
