My wife has a cousin in Los Mochis that needed to get her Mexican citizenship and this attorney took care of it without having her come all the way up from Los Mochis to Mexicali to take care of it. Her mother was a Mexican citizen and her father was an American and the cousin was born in Texas. The cousin moved down to Mexico with her mother before the age of 2 when her father was killed in a boating accident. The cousin remained in Mexico and until she married for about 5 years and moved to the states with her husband. They divorced and she moved back to Mexico. Thus, she and her mother never got her Mexican citizenship taken care of before her mother died. She was working without the properpaper work and the mess got worse as they also also take advantage of those without paperwork in Mexico too. In order to get her Mexican citizenship paperwork she also needed to get an apostipal from Texas. Well, even though she had a certified Texas birth certificate, Texas would not accept it as they wanted a current certified birth certificate which she did not have, as she only had the one from 1961 when she was born in Texas. Go figure Texas would not cooperate and wanted her to go all the way to Texas to get a new one in order to get what she needed from them for Mexico. Long story shorten I have a friend that had a cousin that works as an attorney in Mexicali that has years of experience and has developed her contacts. She got on this and got all of the original paperwork on the Mexican side and then believe it or not got the paperwork from Texas. We had made numerous telephone calls and wrote to Texas only to be denied again and again:fire:. Texas was being first class jerks in working with us and I can say this about Texas as I am from there. So, if any of you need to get an attorney that knows how to use and move through the Mexican and American system here is the information on this attorney: Lic. Sandra Isabel Becerra, telephone 686-557-5497, cell phone 044-086-210-8284, and her email is pelayoaguirreasoc@yahoo.com.mx Her address in Mexicali is: Mar Baltico No. 1145, Centro Civico y Comercial, Mexicali, B.C. C.P. 21000 and the name of the law firm is Pelayo Aguirre Y Asciados Abogados. She got all of this done without having any of the original paperwork except the old birth certificate from Texas. Now, the cousin has her Mexican paperwork, registered to vote and will will have her picture voting card in about another week. All of this paperwork was done in about 60 days as we had to get personal information from cousin and then give it to this attorney to have her chase down the original paperwork needed. She speaks some English and will not rip you off. Now I know about attorneys as I have been working with this in my government agency for the past 33 years. I usually do not like to recommend people for things but I was really satisfied with her updating us as we were going through the process and she even contacted the cousin on several occassions to update her as she knew this paperwork was needed. My wife's cousin loves her life in Los Mochis and even with offers of living her in the States she declined. Now, at least she can walk without fear of deportation:bounce:. I also liked Los Mochis and have been there 3 times and had a good time each time:tumble:. bajafun777
