Skeet/Loreto - 4-1-2004 at 04:50 AM

Capt Mike;
i know the boat. I have fished with George out of key West.I have been on the boat and can assure you that it is an ideal boat for running the Sea to San Marcos and Back.
Well worth the Money!
Skeet/Loreto

thx Skeet! i am very interested in light nof the fact

capt. mike - 4-1-2004 at 03:47 PM

that it is already down there! no way i want to tow ANYTHING ever down that damned road again!

Skeet/Loreto - 4-1-2004 at 06:22 PM

Mike: things have changed since last year. If you want something towed down, just let me Know. I could take a Load of clothes for the Kids.
If you want comfortable fishing and a good Platform to take out a couple, the dusky is Great!
it is harder to pull of the Beach, so just anchor in a couple of feet of Water and ?Swim,Swim, Swim!
now if you want to make a Lobster Run you will have to see me for Details!

Skeet/Loreto

skeet.....you are top notch my friend!!

capt. mike - 4-1-2004 at 08:36 PM

perchance you and i will one day fish out of Jorge's Dusky!! i need lessons!!

Skeet/Loreto - 4-2-2004 at 04:59 AM

Mike: That could happen real easy!i am a little concerned when George said was 'Rough going to Pulpito", think he is too use to the smooth Bay Waters of Flordia!
We will some day fish Together, seems like the Good Lord is causing our paths to Cross time and again!
I am thinking about going back to work and looks like I will need an Airplane. Depends on the doctor!

I will be looking for a 170B with a conversion with a Lyc, 180 with constant speed prop. See any good deals around Scottsdale. let me Know.

Skeet/Loreto

"In God I Trust"

what type of work that req's an aerplane?

capt. mike - 4-2-2004 at 11:46 AM

you can narrow the field quickly just pick up a copy of Trade -a- plane, if it's fur sale it will be listed there. a 180 horsed 170 should be quite a baja plane!

hope your doc lets you cruise a class 3 med.

and Skeet.....we miss your posting

Bob and Susan - 4-2-2004 at 08:35 PM

Mike

I've learned something from having boats....you could go to a bar or club and ask a 100 girls to strip down and get slapped 100 times....

but 5 seconds on a boat and...WOW

All boats come with the girls....

bob:lol:

a friend who kept a fast ski boat at lake havasu

capt. mike - 4-3-2004 at 05:55 AM

had a decal on the back that exclaimed, "No Fat Chicks"!
i thought that was a riot......and i have no room to talk about that, believe me!

Capt. Mike's Hideway

Phil S - 4-3-2004 at 07:48 AM

Hi Mike!!!!Drove up to Mulege to show off the town yesturday to a visitor, stopped for great taco's down town, then a fast flash past your "abode" in Serenidad to find you "not home". Have you tried the "pig roasts" yet at the hotel? I'm yet to get up there to do it, but hear it's a great event each time they do it. Phil S

Bob H - 4-3-2004 at 11:58 AM

We will be in Mulege next week... when are the pig roasts at the Serenidad?
Bob H

Mulege pig roast

Phil S - 4-3-2004 at 10:51 PM

Elgato is correct on all counts. Saturdays. But as quiet as Mulege was yesturday, they might not be doing it. Was the deadest I've ever seen Mulege. One merchant said there hadn't been any tourists for months????The hillside motel we've stayed at. Great place. The beach restaraunt was super. Phil S

Phil S. - sorry i missed you, got rained out.

capt. mike - 4-4-2004 at 06:54 AM

and stayed home, but i'll be down easter weekend fri - mon. so, Bob H. come on by. we're fishing sat, sunday lazin' and touring, taking my step Dad 2nd trip plus a bro, 1st trip. my spot is east palapa south row of Serenidad's full timer places. Look for the pirate bandera - that means c-cktail hora.....24/7.

Serenidad airport

Phil S - 4-4-2004 at 07:37 AM

Mike. When your flying in (if ever at night) remember the accident of some years ago (i saw the results the next day) of the landing gear sticking through the roof of a pickup that parked too far down the runway with lights on (another at the river end of the runway) with headlights on to show both ends of runway. Pilot misjudged the southerly vehicle & dropped a landing gear through the top. Didn't hear the results of any injuries, but was sad to view the scene. Phil S. (ex-pilot-private) Will keep dropping by when in Mulege and look forward to meeting you. Did you get a one meter dish yet?

thx Phil, it will be my pleasure. no on the 1 meter

capt. mike - 4-4-2004 at 06:09 PM

still looking though! have to slowly furnish my "pad"!! with any luck i'll have a boat soon. made only one laNDING THERE at "legal" night. it is not recommended!!

watched one come in at "non-legal night"
last spring. Don nearly kicked his arse on the spot! the guy smelled drunk too.

Mike, it's our goal to get to Guerrero Negro on the 10th, then head to Mulege on the 11th. We may end up camping at the Serinadad (or possibly the Orchard). By the location description of your palapa you are close to the entrance of the public camping area of the hotel, correct?
Bob H

yes, basically...

capt. mike - 4-5-2004 at 08:55 AM

i am at the west end of the temp RV/ trailer park spaces, south side. My building begins the row of permanent structures. 34' cream colored coachman trailer next to a white palapa, my ground transportation support vehicle is a nissan pathfinder , red. 2 flags....one pirata, one "Screaming Airlines" We'll have quite a crew there, one plane load leaving tomorrow with 3, and me in trail on good friday with 4 more.

You said earlier, "smelled drunk?" Don almost kicked his ars!! He should have. Pilots who drink & fly, are soon bound to die!!!!! It's tough enough to land those "birds", sober!!!!
