Today is the grand opening of the 1st Feria del Mar...a big event in Turtle Bay...today starts with coronation dance of the Queen (our Asuncion beauty
won!) and opening ceremonies. Tomorow is the surfing competition at Playon and then the inter coop fishing derby with 5 teams from each coop from
Abreojos to Cedros...(just saw the announcement last night...first prize( and only prize) is 50,000 pesos (not a panga and motor that was
rumored...darn) then another dance tomorrow too (every night there are live bands). Saturday is an open fishing tournament and beach fishing
too...kids catagories as well. There is also a fair for the kiddies, arts and crafts booths, food of course and boat rides, beach sports etc. It
should be pretty fun and probably not a whole lot of gringos. This may be something to plan to attend in the future.

Have fun, and good luck on the fishing derby---I assume Juan is competing???
Also hope it is a success----sounds like fun
