DP racing finishes epic Baja 500

Minnow - 6-3-2007 at 12:06 PM

Unofficially BFG results have the two DP bikes finishing 2nd and 3rd overall in class 22. What an incredible day of racing for a great group of guys. We watched the two bikes come through and they were as fast as anyone. We have our fingers crossed this result stands.:bounce:

Yes indeed. Joe beat all the kids again.

Let's not forget that, besides being the "old guy", Joe was still suffering the effects of the accident at the 250. Unbelievable!

the race coverage on off-road . com was lame compared to the days when PJC ran it IMHO.
was glad to see my bud Lightning Larry Ragland win a 2nd straight 500 with collins racing.

Minnow - sorry i missed you in mulege. need some ideas for a trip around ensenada, i'll "PM/U2U" you, ok?

Yahoooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! Joe and Jesse are two of the coolest guys and deserve their success.

How about that Lobsam Yee in a class 10. The guy finished faster than all but 10 TT's. He took the cleanest line of anyone coming into Erendira. The guy was so smooth it didn't even look like he was touching the ground.

Mike, you missed much fun. The fish were thick too. The weather in Ensenada it perfect for me right now. Cool and clowdy, but I hear that is 105 in Vegas today, and I will have to return one of these days.:O

Yee won the class 10 (23rd overall) but he finished 30 minutes behind a class 10 car that ran in the class 1 (Hardesty 15th overall) very good runs for the class 10 cars.

BJ Richardson won the class 1 finishing 10 overall. Way to go BJ !!!

Man, that's another inspiring deal to see LR (the original one) win another big race and doing it in his sixties. CM, My guess is that he is 64 years old?

Tom, Yee is always fast but did you know that Darren Hardesty took his Class 10 car into Class 1 complete with 1915cc, VW type 1 motor and got fourth in class and I think 12th OA.

I love the resurgence of "Nimble, Light and Simple".

BTW, our new Loth 10 car goes on the jig very soon.

Seve and Joe and Jesse are great guys. So happy for them and lets not forget this is a privateer team, no big factory sponsored ride deal. Congrats from all the boogers.
