Baby Octopus
I took this image of a baby octopus at Shell Island last Saturday. The little shell in the photo is about the size of a quarter, so the octopus was
about the size of your hand.

We found some clams that had washed up on the beach and in one of the shells was this baby octopus.

The one in my shot was hiding underneath a large pismo shell which had a piece cracked off - it made like a little doorway and looked like a very tiny
igloo shape. It was located by surprise by another person in our group.
