Is that the Philosophy you follow ?
If so, it is a profound insight into your reasoning processes.

Wondeful thoughts, Skeet. The Buddha is one of the many exemplary Avatars who has inspired many after his incarnation. I am glad you are reading of
his wisdom.
There is alway hope.
Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Enjoy!

Not too comforting to some folks. Ask Kevorkian.amir - 6-6-2007 at 12:06 PM
You're right, vandenberg.
But I don't think Skeet called "The Angel of Death" yet. CaboRon - 6-6-2007 at 12:33 PM

Believe nothing you read or hear. Believe nothing anyone says including Skeet. Common sense might be not sticking your hand in a fire. Can we
agree on that? Do some here have no sense?
Although myriad examples abound (especially Scientific) which would invalidate this philosophy, one that immediately comes to mind is Newton's Second
Law of Motion. It is completely contrary to (uninformed) "Common Sense".DanO - 6-6-2007 at 01:29 PM
When it comes to politics, I kinda like how Frank Zappa put it :
"Politics is the entertainment branch of industry."Cypress - 6-6-2007 at 01:38 PM
Politics go better with butterbeans, but you need a little cornbread to top 'em off. Some fresh sliced tomatoes really add to 'em. Toss in
a little okra and it's got my vote.amir - 6-6-2007 at 01:45 PM
Alfred E. Newman is my man! I'm MAD about him! I wish he posted some of his common sense in here... Sharksbaja - 6-6-2007 at 03:18 PM
WOW! That's a long one. What, say 8000ft =?Mexitron - 6-6-2007 at 03:35 PM
I think Buddha was meaning with that statement the idea of "be a lamp unto yourself"...question everything, especially religion...cross reference,
seek the truth of things. Counterintuitive ideas of physics would fall into that category too but that's less about everyday "common sense" than most
of us are concerned with.Skeet/Loreto - 6-6-2007 at 03:50 PM
Common Sense-
When you catch a Rattlesnake, you catch Him from the Back of the Head, Not the Front.!
Mr. Bill: How could you even THINK that I would follow anyone??
How could anyone beleive that the Horse has a Tail because some Slimy Anemoe washed up on a Beach a Million years ago??
Wonder Why no one has been able to Make a Human Being.??
No problems with Hangovers-Only been Drunk 3 Times in my Life when I was much Younger.
Smoked Grass One time- It made my Pecker Limp!
Do like to make Love to the Pretty Ladies more than I should at times--Lack of Common Sense I reckon.
Back to the Subject of this Thread for a Lucid Moment:
How many of you check out a Person that is trying to Sell you something of Value: If he is found to be Lying, do you go ahead and Buy??
If someone tells you the Water is 10 Feet Deep, do you just go ahead and Dive, or check it out and then Dive.
I recall my First Jump out of an Airplane at 10,000 Ft. over Lake Elsenore- I took two Chutes!!! Common Sense???
Comon you Posters, How about some of your own Experiences with Common Sense or Lack Thereof.

Lack of Common Sense: Posting on any thread just for the heck of it.
WHAT, ME WORRY? Gnome-ad - 6-6-2007 at 05:51 PM
Lack of common sense might inspire a 60 year old woman with a wonderful life and beautiful home to chuck it all and move to the destert to live in a
block house with bars on the wondows ... or maybe it's uncommon sense.
I can only hope. amir - 6-6-2007 at 06:02 PM

Hey, you might meet a charming prince in that block house in the desert down there and live happily ever after... That would make sense... I am
waiting for a lady just like you, in just that house...

What do we know, Skeet? Does any of this make sense to you? I thought it was Lack of Common Sense to post on any thread, but that lady, Gnome-Ad,
she's my wife! She found me on your thread!! She's 2,000 miles away and she found me on your thread! That doesn't make any sense. But I used the
opportunity to flirt with her anyway. Now, THAT'S Common Sense!
Sorry to correct you amir
Baja Bernie - 6-6-2007 at 09:55 PM
but that is un-common sense or is it, perhaps just nonsense--you think!amir - 6-6-2007 at 10:23 PM
Well, maybe just a little bit of nonsense, but that makes sense in a thread about common sense. Now, here's my two cents: Lack of sense would be to
make sense out of all this nonsense.Skeet/Loreto - 6-7-2007 at 09:51 AM
Amir: You should listen to the Music--"I am a Redneck Man"'.
Are you going to be one who ends up in the Swamp, tied to the Tree waiting for the Alligator????amir - 6-7-2007 at 10:00 AM
Good morning, Skeet.
I'm out in the boonies here, and I'm music challenged, so I don't think I can get a copy of that song. Tell me what that song is about.
I also don't understand your riddle about the swamp, the tree, and the alligator. Please explain.

Alligators ?
MrBillM - 6-7-2007 at 01:18 PM
How many of the people Skeet hangs out with are tying people to trees for the alligators to eat ? Is that one of those "Primitive" churches I've
seen down South ? Instead of playing with Snakes, they do Alligators ?
No worries out here in California. The alligators are all in Zoos. I guess that would inhibit the old-timers from migrating West. Good thing.
My son periodically gets an alligator showing up on his property in Northern Florida. They probably live out back in the Swamp that he calls a
"Pond". So far, he hasn't ever said anything about Rednecks tying people to trees, though.Cypress - 6-7-2007 at 01:26 PM
Don't believe all that "red neck" BS pumped-out by the media. We're not inbred,
racist, ignorant, bumb-asses. All that tying people to trees etc. is a Hollywood
pipedream.
