Got a new cybershot while in the states so I dont have to drag my big cameras around. I have always wanted to be able to capture some of the scenes
that I see on my morning walks but havent wanted to expose my camera to the salt day after day.
This is my first try so lets see how it goes.

There are no bird books specifically for Baja. The birders tell us that Sibley is the best. While it is also for North America, it has maps that
tell you if the bird that you are looking at is ever in the area.
That would be a good project for someone...Baja Bird Book...has a nice ring to it.

Nena to answer your question. The camera is a Sony Cybershot DSC W80. It is certainly the right size for my short pocket but I would have liked more
zoom. Decided to low ball and now wish I hadnt.
As you can see(hopefully) from this shot the white birds in the trees are barely visible.

More nice shots Judy. It's hard to be a birder. An intrigueing hobby to be sure. Birds can migrate great distances in little time and on a whim.
Subtle changes in weather patterns can empty them from one place, find them at brand new places -- places outside the little gray circles devoted
ornithologists have drawn on maps the birds know nothing about. Did the New Yorkers recognize you to be very far north of your usual feeding/nesting
grounds at a strange time of the year? Did they pin you to be a visiting Least Southern Hammock Lounger or a Golden Crowned Delta Darter? (por
