We are packed and ready to check-out. Plan to be at the TJ border around 8:00am on this Thursday morning. My 31st year, my daughter, age 15, 4th trip.
Two first timers, my buddie, my age, around 50, and his daughter, age 15. Also a first, a diesel Chevy longbed club cab, with shell, and lift-kit, and
larger tires. All black, with surfboard and kayak rack. Another first, not being overloaded! And YES! We WILL stroll down on the drive, stop for long
pee breaks in the desert, and hit all the great food stops along the way. With luck and a good swell, we hope to camp at 9 Palms, about one hour out
of San Jose del Cabo, on the east cape. After visiting the Los Cabo city dump last year with all of our garbage, we will try to be super
enviro-friendly....burning all our trash, burying all our waste away from the beach, keep away from anything we cannot recycle. The city dump was the
worst hit I have taken in Baja! What a disaster. We will always be loaded up with beer so please stop by, I am buying. Be cool, Ron

Nine palms today;
Surf head high on the sets
Wind from the south giving it a little bump later in morning
Tide filling in
Water freeking cold!!!! 65
Air temp mid 70's in the morning. Cool enough for easy sleeping at night. Cold water has some small benefit.
Bring a wettie just in case the water doesn't turn over by the time you get down here.
The road out from town is in pretty bad shape and will bounce all your stuff around. Nice view though.
Perhaps I'll stop by and take you up on that beer.
