This photo depicts one of possibly 40 close up whales we sighted on that day. The guide's name is Geronimo who was working out the Hotel Brennan in
Puerto San Carlos. He is without peer when it come to locating and attracting Grey Whales. Be sure you bring along someone who can whistle, as this
seems to be a major attractant.

I'll have to get info from you on how to contact Geronimo next time I go down. I'm a natural born obnoxious whistler (people at the grocery store
hate me), but for once it could come in handy, huh? I wish I could see the photo, but my computer is really wierd about loading photos from this
site. I just get that broken paper looking icon instead of the photo, but then later, if I click on the post again, the picture might be there. Odd
huh. - Stephanie

Stephanie, If you are using Netscape, right-click the broken image, then click on "view image". I don't know if the same applies to Internet
Explorer.

Tucker & Steph
I have both systems (both old versions. Tucker is right on the right click in netscape and when you return from looking at the pic it is then visible
in the post. Explorer automaticaly presents the pic. I use both because I like netscapes feel but can't view some board because if doesn't like
"frames"??? so I use explorer for those. Also don't want to UP grade netscape because of the new format for it(just an old 'stuck in the mud' here)

You guys (girls) really need to upgrade... oh my.
Also try thumping on the side of the panga like a heartbeat. Seems to attract the baby whales.
reefrocket - 12-13-2002 at 09:12 AM
To BajaNomad much like upgrading from a Pentium(sp)II to a 1.4G system, you have to up date much more than just the chip. I'll need
a complete corbasa(sp)[at least brain up grade] up grade. Would you know where I might get one of these and much like up grading, often much of the
information that is stored is not transferable. I will need to find someone that can INSURE that my memories can and will be transfered as they are
primarily all I really have.
Also as I have never had to opportunity to check to pluse of Whale Shark (muchless the pulse of a baby WS) maybe you could enlighten me on beats per
second, (something close like - waltz, marimba, 'Foggy Mountain Brake Down'?) !

A) Upgrade:
--- Really meant only a browser upgrade. Recent versions of both IE and Netscape will work on a Pentium or Pentium II.
If you really need help with a computer upgrade, I can help with that too. Only problem with that is you're in Idaho and I'm in San Diego, which
isn't conducive to doing such (but doesn't make it impossible).
B) Whales:
-- On this one, I was referring to a baby gray, not a whale shark. As far as the bps, you'll just have to experiment. But I've had good luck giving
it that "thump-thump, thump-thump" etc....
