If You Live on a Boat.....

A friend of ours has decided to make his 42-foot boat his permanent residence. While he was a landlubber, he dutifully obtained his FM-3, which will soon come up for renewal. Since the authorities want to see "proof of address," we're at a loss about how to furnish such proof if your residence is in fact a marina. Anybody dealt with this issue before, or have any advice?

Have the landlord write a letter (Marina operator) stating he lives at that address.

He will need the letter from the Marina manager as well as a copy of his marina application and Temporary Importation Permit. The permit allows him to stay in Mexico with the vessel up to 10 years, this offers more proof that he legally lives aboard his vessel.
