Asuncion lovers bad for business

jimgrms - 6-28-2007 at 08:21 AM

Shari convert your beachfront house to a palapa bar and resturant .that is once everyone has thier homes built

Diver - 6-28-2007 at 08:27 AM

Don't worry Shari; they will come.....
You have helped to start a small economic boom in Asuncion.
We, Trotters, Birdogs, Zoe, Eric have bought on first or second site.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for our piece of the dream.
Many others will come to visit, fish, surf, explore and love your world.
I am certain they will come ..... get ready !!

BTW, how's the road paving coming ??
.

shari - 6-28-2007 at 08:33 AM

they are onto paving the next 10 km stretch now from the turnoff but you still can't drive on it. Looks like Christmas is gonna be a real bash this year with all of you here. Deck the halls with boughs of cactus....fa la la la la

bajamigo - 6-28-2007 at 08:34 AM

Shari, if Bahia Asuncion needs a "Chamber of Commerce," I would nominate you. The place sounds wonderful, and your generous spirit only enhances that. And don't despair about your business: more residents=more visitors. Heaven forbid, you may have to build a high-rise!

shari - 6-28-2007 at 09:05 AM

gracias amigo but no high rises here, not after all those earthquakes..we are sticking to rock houses or wood too. We really are enjoying all the visitors who have come out and look forward to meeting more nomads soon.

wilderone - 6-28-2007 at 09:05 AM

Shhhhhhhhhhh!

Diver - 6-28-2007 at 09:07 AM

Lots of changes coming to Asuncion.
I suppose with all the visitors, Juan has had to cut down on wearing his "thong" around the house ?!?! :lol::lol:

.

shari - 6-28-2007 at 09:12 AM

maybe THAT is why people are coming here! definate eye candy.

Iflyfish - 6-28-2007 at 09:18 AM

"Build it and they will come"

Asuncion is being discovered. You are in the heart of it!

Building infrastructure ain't glamorous, but in the long run it is what pays the bills.

You have great options for people who want to visit Asuncion and enjoy it's yet unspoiled beauty.

You and that place are in our hearts and we will return!

Sorry, I know how you feel. We have very mixed feelings---we love it just like it is, but also want to share it with others. It's like the talk about continuing the main street paving down by our place and around the beach edge with a malecon---we have very mixed feelings. We really like looking out our front porch at this

Shari, we have no doubt that your business will grow---especially when that road is paved --- more tourists will come----a mixed blessing.

See ya soon, neighbor
Diane

On Edit---we found out one fact we really enjoyed. There used to be a pig farm in the area so the little surfing beach in front of our area used to be known as Pig Beach---love the name.

As Shari said, hard to go there and leave without wanting to buy something.

Iflyfish said it " yet unspoiled beauty" . J&;D said it "very mixed feelings"

Shari-

What's the weather been like? Water temps? Beer temps?

zforbes - 6-28-2007 at 02:19 PM

My plan is to invite enough friends that the overflow will bunk at Shari's.

Cypress - 6-28-2007 at 02:45 PM

Shari and family are gonna be worth millions and millions and millions and....:)

BajaWarrior - 6-28-2007 at 03:25 PM

Hey Shari, don't convert the Beach House to a cantina until after we get there and leave at the end of August!

We are very excited to come and see you, I mapped the trip out the other night, looks like 563 miles door to door, no problem!

BirdDog - 6-28-2007 at 06:35 PM

Shari is right about it being a special place. Mrs Birddog and I fell in love with the place and can't wait to make it our home. I agree with Diver that we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping our dream come true. OK Shari breaks over back to work on our place.:tumble:

BirdDog - 6-29-2007 at 11:47 AM
