Saw a couple guys out in front of our place slinging a net into the river. Here is their catch after a few casts. Says "grandes" are in there. He
should know he had to dive in and retrieve his net off a snag a couple times.
I caught a couple small fish for fun. A bare, shiny brass hook worked the best.

Those mullet are mighty good smoked.
Leave the scales on, butterfly 'em open and
put a good smoking to 'em.

I wonder if you could nose hook one, toss it out and try for one of there old time huge Robalos? What a great story that would make. good luck!
