After reading about all the stolen cars, I just had an anti theft device installed on my Jeep. The system is by Ravelco, it disables a couple of the
starting circuits and has a removable plug that goes with you. They have sold 3.5 million and not had a car stolen ( could still be towed). $ 400 is
cheap insurance for a lifetime (life of the car) anti theft peace of mind.

I have a similar device, but for fuel shutoff.
Also, a club with the wheels of the truck turned. (Keeps the honest people from taking your truck)
After market alarm also.
What more can a guy do?

Pretty Impressive. Couple of hours work by a technician and looks like its impossible to defeat.

That does seem like a pretty decent system.
My wife's 91 Blazer had a similar, factory installed multi-connector key that you removed from below the steering column. It also completed
connections to many of the ignition circuits. But I bet the color-coded wires behind it could have been gotten around.

Mine has a metal jacketed cable from plug to firewall, and a clamp on other side of firewall, this is just to stop the quick theives I'm sure with
enough time any thing could be defeated.
