It is the time of year when those of us who live here start to check the weather every morning when we wake up.
I have a list of about 15 sites that I visit when a storm is nearing but the very first thing I look at every morning is this:
Loboron. The noaa.gov site is hard to beat.Loboron - 7-5-2007 at 03:12 PM
Thanks, when the hurricanes start it's a good to sight to watch the progress.
Once in a sector, At the bottom of the page you can put them in motion by clicking on "Watch the movie" it puts the sector in motion with a Java Loop
process so you can see the storm moving.bajajudy - 7-5-2007 at 06:18 PM
Loboron
What does that mean btw?
That is a good one. I hope that I dont have to use it this year but that is not likely.

one of the forecasting sites shows storm forming (possibly) in 4-5 days and staying offshore, but heading northwest.....we'll see.bajajudy - 7-6-2007 at 06:45 AM
You can put La Paz or any city in you like and get the local 10 day forecast plus todays report. Also, links to tropical weather around the world and
a pretty good blog by a climatologist with regular tropical weather comments. and if you are looking for weather history get the info on years of
weather for any specific date.

When in San Felipe I go to www.accuweather.com and click onto the Yuma AZ radar site. It covers the the SF area.bajajudy - 7-6-2007 at 04:26 PM
too many of the links are broken... still some good stuff.woody with a view - 7-6-2007 at 05:28 PM

don't axe which site. it's surf related and pretty intensive, but towards the end of the next week a storm will head towards hawaii, and a bigger one
will brew and waffle southwest of cabo.
disclaimer:
stay offshore and PUMP some raw swell towards the north...bajajudy - 7-6-2007 at 05:50 PM

Ok back to the weather.
I just ran across this article on SudCaliforniano
I ran it through babel fish, not my favorite translating tool but basically it is an article about seeding hurricanes this year to try to lessen the
impact on Los Cabos. Now is that scary or what?woody with a view - 7-7-2007 at 10:02 AM
