Only made 105 here in San Felipe yesterday---baitcast - 7-6-2007 at 09:58 AM
Ya but I,m old and tired and worn-out and ?
It's Not the HEAT !
MrBillM - 7-6-2007 at 10:01 AM
But the Humidity.
Leaving Baja earlier in the week, it was 102 with 80-85 % humidity. Pouring sweat 24/7.
Arrived back in the Hi Desert, it was 105 at 6 p.m., but the humidity was in the teens and it felt great. No Sweat (Literally).
Yesterday was 108, but with the Evap Cooler rolling, it was really pleasant.bajajudy - 7-6-2007 at 10:53 AM
We still have a lovely sea breeze from the marine layer. Havent even had the a/c's on this year.Bob and Susan - 7-6-2007 at 11:00 AM
92 here in mulege...nice breeze this morning
last nite was really nice....

Death Valley hit it's predicted high yesterday.............127 in the shade.
I'll bet the German tourists at Stovepipe are giddy.El Jefe - 7-6-2007 at 01:27 PM
That lovely sea breeze is blowing out a perfectly good swell! But hey, Judy is right. The weather here has been just about perfect. Right now at 2:25
PM it is 84 outside and 79 in the house with 63% humidity. Cozy.
The effect of the relatively cold water in the ocean has kept us very comfortable for a month.Mexitron - 7-6-2007 at 01:27 PM
It got to around 120 in Borrego Springs a couple years ago--I had a couple valves to water some trees on my lot as well as a garden hose. The valves
melted in the heat, didn't turn on, and I lost most the trees. The hose melted on one side and turned brown. Can't imagine what living in 127
degrees would be like. That said, I wouldn't mind a few hot sunny days after all the constant rain out here in Texas(35 inches in two
months)...everythings starting to rot and the skeeters are gettin' bad!bajabound2005 - 7-6-2007 at 04:31 PM
72 in Punta Banda -- but it seems like it's always 72 here!toneart - 7-6-2007 at 04:40 PM
Everybody go naked! Not always a pretty sight but you will feel better.:moon:
It is about 102 where I live, on the west slope of the High Sierras. It is high and dry. The swamp cooler works well here. Those of you who are
experiencing those extreme temperatures, please take care of yourselves. You know the drill.....stay indoors, drink plenty of water and minimal
exertion.nobaddays - 7-6-2007 at 04:53 PM
Like Ruben always said, La mejor manera de vivir en Julio y Augusto en San Felipe, es boracho y sin ropa ! The best way to live in San Felipe in July

116 here, wusses.bajalou - 7-6-2007 at 05:06 PM
San Felipe 103 right now - but I'm heading to Yuma tomorrow for a couple days to warm up.baitcast - 7-6-2007 at 05:29 PM
115 and I,m watching these fools out on the golf course I always thought ice fishermen and duck hunters were weird.Paula - 7-6-2007 at 05:29 PM
It's 88 in our house in Loreto right now, and humid, and the ceiling fans are doing a good enough job. We do keep the AC going in the bedroom most of
the time-- for the dog! Our Sheltie threatens to go on strike-- says living in Mexico wasn't part of the agreement when he chose usbackninedan - 7-6-2007 at 05:31 PM
I used to live in Bullhead City and we would go play golf in Kingman because it was cooler...and yes we were weird.bajajudy - 7-6-2007 at 05:53 PM
78 on my porch and my husband is putting on jeans and long sleeve shirt, cause she's COLDPaula - 7-6-2007 at 05:56 PM
Judy, Jim sure had me fooled-- I thought she was a man!!!!!!!dean miller - 7-6-2007 at 05:57 PM
74.1 tops today per the Atomic clock ( time, temperature and date) Currently 72.2 at 5:51 PST On the only hill in lovely Pismo Beach, California
over looking the the blue Pacific...
FYI: We reside in a micro Climate--never too cold never too hot. At sea level one mile north or one mile south or on the beach plus ten or more
degrees--.
Great place to live...

Being an avid duckhunter I can say that most of us are. 95 degrees and 70% humidity here in Iowa.shari - 7-6-2007 at 06:41 PM
Perfect weather in Asuncion...chilly enough in the afternoons for a long sleeve T-shirt! Water warming up and lots of kids boogie boarding these
days...finally have shorts weather!BirdDog - 7-6-2007 at 06:48 PM
Yeah Yeah Shari. It's not like I don't want to be there bad enough already.Bajafun777 - 7-6-2007 at 06:51 PM
Down El Centro way reading of 117 degrees and we have more coming with hotter days yet. In another year this will not be an issue with me as I will
definately be in cooler places in Baja. Now, do not get me wrong I like it warm but once it gets over 100 degrees I do not like it anymore. The
older we get the less heat and stress the better. Now one thing I never like is snow, as I had enough of that when I was younger in Amarillo Texas
With all the shoving and cutting wood for the fireplace, no more no more. Give me the cool breeze of the ocean and a cold one just popping one here
and one there, got to love that life. Later-----bajafun777
This little factoid should send you running for sweaters..

The hottest temperature on Earth ever recorded most likely occurred in Death Valley, California during 43 consecutive days between July 6 and August
17, 1917. During those days, the temperature was over 48 degrees Celsius (120 degrees Fahrenheit). The national weather service recorded 56.7 °C (134
°F). The date reported there was July 10, 1913.DENNIS - 7-6-2007 at 09:41 PM
I've heard that the hottest place recorded in the western hemisphere was San Luis, Rio Colorado.
There's a huge horseshoe shaped hoar house district there so, I have no doubt that it's true after having spent time there.DENNIS - 7-6-2007 at 09:43 PM
By the way..... I got that stat from the guiness book.

I'm thinking either place (Death Valley and/or San Luis) could use a Pacifico/Ice drive-throughDENNIS - 7-6-2007 at 10:17 PM

Living 2 miles North of there in San Luis, AZ, I can believe the first part. But, you must not have been here in awhile. The "Zona de Tolerancia" is
gone. Not that the oldest profession has disappeared, it's just decentralized- no more "cribs", only free-lancers working the clubs.DENNIS - 7-8-2007 at 03:27 PM
Gone? I was there only once, so far back I can't remember when.
So, it's gone. Wow. I guess that leaves the Pyramids at Giza as the only remaining "Wonder Of The World."
Another Historical Landmark Gone ?
