A place nomads wouldn't like

Who wants to drive south of Bahia Asuncion on a dirt road to find miles and miles of this.



And that is only looking in one direction---here is the other way



What, no condos, no people, no hotels?? Who could like that---gees, not even a taco stand.

Then there are those dunes



The dunes with no off-road tire tracks, no empty beer cans, just the plain old dune plants with a few people and animal track.

And if that is not enough, what ever happened to brown sand?

Then there is this very small fishing village---shucks, they don't even have a disco!



And who wants to watch the fishermen going out to sea through the rocks and over the high surf??







No, it is just a place nomads would not like----guess we will just have to spend more time exploring that area so it does not get lonely.

If you remember the one I posted in 1982 with a basically flat beach...........this is what it looked like before a ton of folks and off road vehicles leveled it.

Angels Camp just south of La Salina looked most like your fishing village...........boy do things change.

Nah, I don't hate you, but, I sure hate the noise your toys make. Isn't there a way to make those things quieter? Especially the JetSki noise, they sound like a hive of P***ed off bees. IMHO, nothing much worse than being on a quiet beach reading, and having to listen to that noise back and forth, back and forth. I rue the day when we have to have isolated beachs become so dense that signs will go up prohibiting all of our fun (yours included) I just wish (and believe) in this modern day of techies that something could/can be done about the noise polution before you and others lose the fun of your Quads and JetSkis..........Maybe? you and other "Toy" guys/gals might start asking for "neighbor friendly" toys before it's too late? Just an idea...........Have fun!

No sense letting EVERYBODY know.

My quads are dead stock, electric start, 4 stroke, with reverse. Great transportation and they give our truck a break from the rough roads. After all, it has to get us back home, so my beauty of a SuperDuty will be resting and waiting for it's next assignment.

The latest Jet Ski's, yes they are all called jet ski's but waverunners if you like, although a trademark of Yamaha. Most correctly, PWC. Personal Water Craft, are now 4 stroke motors, fuel injection, and low enough emissions to qualify being on Lake Tahoe, at least my pair which are three seaters. We are taking one, my sweetee likes to hang on for the ride instead of riding her own, at least on this trip. Plus, we have space issue. 20' flatbed car hauler, triple axle with room for one PWC and trailer, and three quads, one quad is a back-up. On the truck rack will be Juan and Shari's gently used boat trailer for their Panga in which I have dissasembled for travel (frame, axle, wheels, tongue etc...) Also, the dog box, a large plywood box I have constructed to comfortably haul our two large best buddies down to Asuncion. Wouldn't be the same with out them.

It's all about the rider though. More importantly, the non-owner that rides it. One guy owns it, 15 others ride it.

For us, we are using our PWC as a vessel in which to go to the islands and surrounding area. By the way, these new type jet ski's are now 12' long, and a lot more comfortable and seaworthy than a boat of it's same length. Let's not forget fun too, that's why I bought them.

So, I've heard it all before, but I'm not being defensive. Just give some of us responsible citizens a little consideration.

Also, we don't go to the Colorado River either, there's a bunch of dumb-asses out there!

Not sure why it would be a "long shot", as with my kids and grandkids..........don't follow the rules, toys are taken away.

sounds like the beach needs an HOA and some CCRs...............

No hijack---we plan on buying a couple of quads for exploring --- there are lots of existing dirt roads. In fact, we turned back on one as we did not want to get stuck in the sand with having only one vehicle----two quads will change that.

On the other hand, there is one young boy in town who one day drove his quad over the dunes in front of our house. But, we know no real Baja lover would do that.

Baja Warrior, you will have a great time with your quads around here. There are so many places to go.

Now, as far a Donald Trump goes, maybe he can sell this area as just a little more than 30 minutes from San Diego.

Noise...I hate noise...the only draw back of my Polaris. Best suspension there is for Baja...but they really need to do something about the noise. Going to dealer before returning to Baja and try to change that...
