It is too early to ask for road conditions. Wait until after hurricane season and ask again.

Since we are early on the planning stages we are looking at 12/14 days for this trip. We should be in GN by day 7.
I have never been to La M which is located just north of GN. I was told by by fishing buddy that this is the place for WSB there is also an other
place along the coast Sta Rosalita.
Fishing is always great along the sea of cortez side...

We tried camping at Laguna Manuella in early April,
the wind blew so hard that the sand hurt your ankles.
windiest place I ever saw,
sort of like the Pali in Oahu
except not quite as green.

Prerunning for the Baja 1000 will be well underway at the time of your departure...heads up as you'll be on the race course during your adventure south...and you can expect prerunner traffic...
Enjoy.

Yes... http://community-2.webtv.net/boojum2/707
Also, the Baja Nomad Baja Trip Reports Forum from late July
The route along the Pacific begins 19+ miles north of Villa Jesus Maria (where you turn west for Laguna Manuela)... 18 slow miles to Santa Rosalillita
OR drive to the paved road to Santa Rosalillita and head north from there.
