capt. mike - 8-5-2007 at 07:34 AM

just got the OK to use the LA Cetto's private strip if wanted via a BBP contact.

anyone been thru there enuff lately to recommend a few close small hotels? And what are the temps this time of year?
any boutique B and Bs? now, if only one could arrange a customs broker for outbound booty and swag...........:bounce:

There are 2 boutique places, the Adobe Guadalupe and La Villa del Valle. Both have about 6 rooms and both will be filled throughout Vendimia (Aug 2 - 19). The only other option is Rancho Maria Teresa. Larger but much less expensive! We are going to a Vendimia event at La Villa del Valle on Thursday and staying at Rancho Maria Teresa so we'll post an accomodation review after. Liceaga (the winery) is in the process of building a hotel now. Weather: HOT, high 90s - low 100s during the day.

Yes, the nights are cool. Can't say I've seen the airstrip at LA Cetto but of course, the times we've been there we weren't looking for one! Will have a look see and let you know (with pix).

well i am trying to promote a fly in over at BBP.
more later - getting excited about having a 1/2 dozen planes all show up as guests of Mr. Cetto.
it's going that way!
we need to arrange the rooms and a tour van tho - working on it.

Mike...

Wow. Six planes together in the skys around Ensenada? That's more than the local Air Force can do. Can you guys do some minor maneuvers over town like buzzing Hussongs or the cruise ships? It'll be like Pearl Harbor.
