I read this in Sunday's paper, thought someone might be interested.
Wednesday, Aug. 29
Baja 1000 exhibit opens ---- Motorcycle and car-racing legends from the past 40 years celebrate the opening of the San Diego Automotive Museum's
"Tecate SCORE Baja 1000" exhibit at a special evening reception. Racers including Parnelli Jones, Bruce Meyers, Johnny Campbell, Mark McMillin, Larry
Roeseler, Malcolm Smith, JN Roberts, Ivan Stewart and more will attend, for photos, autographs and more. The exhibit pays tribute to the four-decade
history of the treacherous off-road race that pits up to 425 cars, trucks, motorcycles and ATVs each year since 1967 in a grueling overland 1,000-mile
race between Ensenada and La Paz, Mexico; 5 to 9 p.m.; San Diego Automotive Museum, 2080 Pan American Plaza, Balboa Park, San Diego; free; (619)
231-2886.
WOW, I'd love to be there...
