broadband in Baja Malibu

Orlova - 9-3-2007 at 12:34 PM

I am trying to get broadband into my home in Baja Malibu but the service I used

bajawireless

will not help me to set up Airport router. All I can get is one cable connection to my computer.

Is there another service I can use that will help me set up my home network?

Is there DSL, cable, available in this area?

Surely the phone company Telnor supply Baja Malibu? Just get broadband through them.

Maybe you'll have to pay someone to set-up your network if you are not able to do it yourself. There is a very cheap and friendly computer store in Rosarito run by young guys who speak English. It's in the shopping complex next to where Scotiabank is. Get their advice.

Orlova,
Am i wrong or do you want a broadband network with in you casa. Your isp provider has nothing to do with your internal network..... you will need a broadband router with firewall to communicate within your personel network of computers, printers, etc. The hardwired firewall is necessary unless you want others to use your isp.

I would also suggest telephone line DSL as a more secure network connection.

Don't most broadband providers either supply or offer the router and firewall ?
Then you just need a wireless router to use wifi at home ?
