Hey amigos,
What are the chances of any whale watching in the La Paz area in April (will be down on the 10th for about a week). Also would love suggestions for
any day trips and must sees for the area! Thanks
It's Semana Santa, so all the beaches and restaurants will be packed.

There are sometimes some piilot whales that stray into the bay, but you have to be pretty lucky to catch a whale sighting there. - Stephanie

Hola, take the tour out of LP to Mag Bay,but make sure they go to Puerto Lopez Mateos,San Carlos is a giant ripoff...there are now friendlies in the
bay,at one point 2 mothers pushed their babies toward the boat to be petted, the water is like glass because of the barrier island, and we visited with
pods of dolphins,what a day...enjoy
P.S. or rent a car and drive up ypurself,4 hour trip was 200 pesos, plus they have some good restaurents there...

No. They're not. It's the end of the season right now.

In reality, there is a very good possibility of your seeing whales in April at Mag Bay. Their season does not coincide with Stephanies or our
calender. They seem to be arriving (and leaving) a little later each year according to the people who actually know of what they speak.
