Diver, on my site is a link to Scorpion Bay/ San Juanico (in the Links to specific Baja locations part) where you may find some details... Also, Juan del Rio here on Nomad is a regular San Juanico visitor... Also go to http://www.bajaexpo.com and click on San Juanico. Baja Expo's Carlos Fiesta goes there often!

You don't remember Dr. Suess???
Seriously, be very careful in purchasing in San Juanico. Make sure you talk to both Jamie and Reuben becuase they have different ideas on the future of San Juanico. Get a hold of Terry as well. He's lived there along time. He was selling his house at one point not sure if he ever sold it- Dave and Laurie are good sources too, if they're still there. If you know spanish, get Camacho's take as well. He's the mechanic on the north end of town. There is also a big difference between living in town and on the point. There is also not much water. There is a tremendous amount of speculation going on as well. I'm sure you already know all this since you're thinking of plunking down some serious scratch on some dirt, but just be very cautious. We were looking about 18 months ago, and I felt it was too volatile both in SJ and in the US, so we decided to park it. My personal take is that we are going to see a correction in the US market due to the forclosures and the ARM's resetting in January, and this will have a ripple effect on the less than prime baja markets that may take as much as 2 years to sort out. I think there will be better deals then. Anyway, that's my advice...it's worth what you paid for it.

Are you sure you want to live that close to the expat windnsea crew?!?!

not a limerick...... and the answer is "NO".

Bob and Susan - 9-8-2007 at 07:14 AM

A limerick is a five-line poem with a strict form
Limericks are frequently witty or humorous, and sometimes obscene with humorous intent.

example:
The lim'rick packs laughs anatomical
Into space that is quite economical,
But the good ones I've seen
So seldom are clean,
And the clean ones so seldom are comical.

so...woody...it should be....

NO
No
NO
No
NO:lol::lol::lol:

Seems there may be some trouble with real estate folks in San Juanico.
Between Sculpins comments and a U2 I got, we are warned to be careful who we deal with in buying land in town.
Either there are some real problems or they want it all for themselves.
In any case, ALWAYS be sure to know who you are dealing with BEFORE you put down any $$$$ in any land deal. And make CERTAIN there is a free title to be transferred and that you are dealing with the real owners.
