Hola,
Does anyone know if SCUBA gear rental and/or compressed air are available in Bahia Gonzaga?
If not in Gonzaga, how about BLA?
Thanks!

greg there are some privately owned compressors at homes along the strip in gonzaga, you'd have to ask around for fills if you have your own tanks.
at BOLA there are guys now doing it commercially i hear from others. all you have to do is ask at Guerrmos or Diaz for who's doing scuba tours now.
Taste the air before you submerge after a fill tho - if they're filters have not been changed often you'll get oilly tasting air or worse.

hey Mike,
thanks for the info! we'll check it out then... on your trips south during that time will you be stopping at Alfonsina's? (between October 9 and
26th)?
don't think we'll be making it as far south as Loreto unless the weather keeps us off the water and we drive further south.
either way, yeeehaaaa - Baja here we come!

greg,
my wife and I dove BOLA in 2003 and got our tanks filled north of town at a campground (sorry can't remember the name). We hired the owner's son to
drive us in his dad's panga to some island dive sites.
The tanks I had filled in BOLA ended up needing to be tumbled due to rust and my first stage also showed moisture damage. The other 2 tanks that were
not filled at BOLA did not show any damage. I'm not sure if there are any methods for field testing air before letting it into your tanks, but heads
up.
We enjoyed diving La Bufadora too. have fun and dive safe,
